Salesforce Summer '26 Release Highlights.

The forecast for Salesforce this season? Bright, fast-moving, and packed with upgrades. The Summer ’26 Release is rolling in with a wave of enhancements designed to help teams work smarter, move quicker, and uncover deeper insights, without getting bogged down in the heat of day-to-day operations.

From more flexible reporting and smarter automation to meaningful updates across Marketing Cloud, Education Cloud, and beyond, this release isn’t just a seasonal refresh. It’s a toolkit for building momentum. Below, we’re diving into standout features that can help your team stay cool, efficient, and a step ahead all summer long!

Expand Reporting Capabilities with More Row-Level Formulas

Reports are great data visualization tools that give insights into your organization’s data. With features like filtering, data grouping, and chart visualization, reports can help you spot trends in your data that drive better decisions.

One such feature of reports is row-level formulas. Row-level formulas allow you to build calculations on each individual record in the report without changing the actual data or creating new fields. One drawback is that you were only allowed one row-level formula per report. With Summer ‘26, you now have access to two row-level formulas per report, which allows you to make more report-level insights on your organization’s data.

Improve Performance with Batching for Scheduled Flows

Scheduled flows are useful for performing routine actions on your data, such as daily updates, data cleanup, or weekly emails. While similar to apex batchables, scheduled flows have one limitation that can affect their use: batch size. Every scheduled flow runs in batches of 200 records. If the action you are trying to perform involves many DML updates, you may hit governor limits before you reach all 200 records in the batch.

Summer ‘26 allows you to alter the scheduled flow batch size from 1 to 200. With this, you can fine-tune the performance of your scheduled flows to avoid hitting governor limits in the future.

Simplify Data Interactions with State Managers for LWC (Generally Available)

Lightning Web Components are the pro-code answer for highly specific, customizable components in your organization. Summer ‘26 adds state management to LWCs, which can be utilized to decouple data-related concerns from component logic. With a separate state layer, you can now have multiple LWCs use the same data without re-fetching, duplicating, or going out of sync.

Be sure to check out the available state managers in Salesforce’s LWC Guide. Also, note that state managers are not currently available in Experience Cloud.

Review Field Access Across Profiles, Permission Sets, and Permission Set Groups

Salesforce has always sought to provide ways to show who has access to what. One such method is to click the Set Field-Level Security button on a fields page to see which profiles have access to the field. This button is somewhat inconvenient because you must click it for each field, and it can only show either profile access or permission-set access, not both at the same time.

Summer ‘26 includes a new Field Access button for the object manager. The field access page lets you select any field of the object to view field access for permission sets, permission set groups, or profiles. Having all of this in one place is sure to save time and clicks when reviewing field security for an object.

Elevate In-Person Meetings with Mobile AI Transcription

Einstein Conversation Insights uses AI to capture conversations in online meetings and phone calls. ECI then transcribes conversations and provides insights, including questions asked, objections, and next steps. ECI’s functionality was expanded in Summer ‘26 to include In-Person meetings. Now you can focus entirely on the meeting without having to enter data later manually. This feature is available on iOS starting March 25, 2026, and Android starting April 06, 2026.

Expand Email Personalization with AMPscript Language Support and New Scripting Helpers

Marketing Cloud Next has improved scripting capabilities in Summer ‘26. With the addition of Ampscript code and Handlebars-templated HTML, you can now retrieve data from marketing objects, manipulate it, and format messages as you see fit. The visual editor in Marketing Cloud Next now includes syntax validation that provides suggestions if your script contains errors. Remember to check out Salesforce’s Ampscript guide to get a firm grasp before utilizing this update.

Control Which Products Appear First in Search Results

B2B Commerce now includes custom weights for searchable fields when searching for products in your B2B store. The weight values range from 1 to 10, with 10 indicating the strongest influence on ranking behavior. This update lets you prioritize specific fields when ranking and ordering matching products for non-semantic searches.

Sales Engagement Data Is Now Native to The Salesforce Platform

Sales Engagement Data will now be stored natively on the Salesforce Platform. This adds a variety of use cases for the data now, such as adding the data to flows and drilling into each engagement type for better insights. Since existing orgs already have existing data, data migration is scheduled to start in June. Please note that this update will deprecate the Sales Engagement Performance dashboard in October and replace it with a custom report in Salesforce.

Expand Your Product Offerings with Product Variations

Summer ‘26 is adding product variations, which let you group products that share a common design but differ in attributes. In the past, product variations had to be searched for individually, but with this change, a parent product stores all its variations. This will improve search speeds, enabling quotes to be built faster.

Accelerate Proactive Customer Outreach with Automated Outbound Calling

If your organization is using the Salesforce Voice telephony model, you will have access to automated outbound calls. These automated calls can be launched with flows, which can be used to send out appointment reminders, surveys, and payment updates without requiring third-party tools. An automated call process is sure to deliver consistent, personalized customer interactions while reducing the number of manual calls needed to achieve the same behavior.

Transform Your Scheduling Experience with the New Scheduling Console

Salesforce has a new and improved Scheduling Console to help your dispatchers in the field. The Scheduling Console is built on LWCs to deliver a high-performance, responsive interface that keeps your dispatchers efficient and focused.

Improve the Donor Experience with a Self-Service Donor Support Agent

Summer ‘26 is showing some love to donors with the Donor Support Agent. This agent enables donors to manage their recurring gifts in an Experience Cloud site. This will free up staff members to focus on building relationships while providing donors with a quick, easy way to manage their recurring gifts.

Transform the Student Financial Experience

Summer ‘26 provides a comprehensive financial dashboard for students in Education Cloud. This dashboard shows real-time billing, secure payments, and the disbursed aid/scholarships a student has received. By providing a place for students to access their invoices, balances, and payment history, this dashboard is likely to reduce the number of administrative inquiries that students will make.

Ride the Waves with Salesforce Summer '26

Salesforce Summer ’26 isn’t just a light refresh. It’s a full wave of upgrades to help you streamline workflows, sharpen insights, and keep everything running smoothly. Whether you’re optimizing reports, automating processes, or exploring updates in Education Cloud, these enhancements are built to help your org move faster without breaking a sweat.
