Agentforce Education
Share Billing Details with Your Students
Students can now manage their own billing. No more waiting for the staff to track down an invoice or explain a payment schedule. The new self-service tools give them direct access to detailed invoices, installment plans, and payment timelines whenever they need them. A unified account view brings refund, payment, and credit memo balances together in one place, so balance questions get answered faster and with fewer back-and-forth emails. And with improved academic term enrollment logic, fee breakdowns are more accurate at the term level, giving students a clearer picture of exactly what they owe and when.
Resolve Student Absences with Attendance Management Agents
Automated absence tracking keeps attendance records accurate and campus teams on the same page. When a student is marked absent, a Marketing Cloud Next event-triggered flow sends an SMS to the family right away. From there, an inbound Omni-Channel flow lets parents explain the absence through a natural conversation with a voice agent—no forms, no phone tag. The Attendance Management Agent captures that explanation, updates the student's official attendance record, and instantly notifies the responsible instructor in Slack. The result: families and instructors are working from the same up-to-date picture of where students are and why.
Recruitment, Admissions, & Applications
Tracking the Student Journey Through Recruitment and Admissions
Get full visibility into the recruitment funnel, from first inquiry all the way through enrollment. The Tableau Next Recruitment and Admissions Performance Center dashboard tracks volume, conversion rates, and stage velocity across the following stages: Suspect, Prospect, Applicant, Admitted, Enrolled, and Registered. With that visibility, enrollment teams can spot bottlenecks, measure progress against goals, and focus their efforts where they'll actually move the needle. A glance tells you which stages are on track and where outreach needs to ramp up to hit enrollment targets.
Configure and Localize the Application Experience
Give applicants an application experience that's tailored to them, including the language they're most comfortable in. Show or hide fields such as Campus or Academic Term on the Application List and Details pages, customize field labels, and provide a direct link to their application decision. Translated values for academic terms, learning programs, and other application data mean you can serve a diverse student population without building and maintaining a separate application for every language.
Student Success & Engagement
Unify Attendance Signals into One Trusted Record
Attendance doesn't have to be just a box to check. With the right data model, it becomes an early warning system for student engagement. Signals from instructors, parents, devices, and other systems all feed into a single trusted attendance outcome for each student, rather than residing in disconnected records. That accuracy is what makes the rest possible: staff and advisors can act on reliable attendance data using analytics and agent-driven tools, proactively stepping in to support students at risk before problems escalate.
Student Financials
Automating Student Overpayment Refunds
The entire refund process for student financial accounts can now run end-to-end without manual intervention. When a student drops a course or reduces an order, Student Financials automatically identifies the original invoices, applies any credit memos to outstanding balances, and initiates refunds for payments. Students get their money back faster and more accurately, and you're left with a full audit trail to support compliance.
Spread Tuition Payments with Flexible Payment Plans
Give students more breathing room by allowing them to spread tuition payments over multiple installments rather than paying it all at once. You set up the schedules, whether that's monthly, quarterly, or a custom cadence that matches your billing cycles, and payment collection runs automatically through integrated gateways. Students, meanwhile, can check their plan status and upcoming auto-debits in real time from the learner portal, so there are no surprises on either end.
Family and Proxy Access
Manage Proxy Access with Delegated Access Management
Delegated access lets students bring trusted people, parents, guardians, or other proxies, into the loop on their own terms. Students can grant, modify, and revoke access to their academic, financial, and personal information whenever they need to, while you control which permissions are even available for delegation in the first place. Comprehensive audit trails keep everything aligned with institutional governance and federal compliance requirements.
Manage Student Emergency Contacts and Pickups
Emergency contact management adapts to the student's situation. Higher education students can maintain their own emergency contacts directly, while parents and guardians of K-12 students manage contacts and authorized pickups on their children's behalf. Either way, you can prioritize the order of emergency contacts and authorized pickup relationships, with a complete audit trail tracking every change.
Accelerate Proxy Experiences with a Portal Template
Proxies like parents and guardians get a unified access point to stay involved and get things done, instead of piecing together information from multiple channels. The portal template is configurable and spans all educational levels, supporting various proxy scenarios. In K-12, that means parents managing households, applications, and student information; in higher education, it means designated proxies securely accessing records and completing tasks that students have chosen to delegate to them.
Academic Records and Transfer Credits
Accept Transfer Credit Requests via Experience Cloud
Current students can request official transfer credit for prior learning right from their Experience Cloud site. Using a Unified Catalog service, students open the transfer credit application, add details on their prior learning, and submit their request, making it easy to pursue credit for past coursework at any point during their time at your institution.
Post Transfer Credits and Preview Degree Impact
Evaluating and assigning approved transfer credits happens right within the student's program plan, with full visibility into how those credits affect degree requirements. You can edit grades, choose posting reasons, and handle bulk actions all in one place. A visualization panel lays out exactly how the transfer credits will change remaining degree requirements before anything gets committed to the academic record. That preview step matters: it lets you prioritize credits that satisfy required courses over general electives, catch and prevent duplicate applications, and understand credit rates before student records are ever updated.
Automate Secure Faculty Access to Course Data
Faculty access to course and student data is now tied directly to teaching assignments, granted and revoked automatically as those assignments change. Faculty members only ever see the courses they're currently teaching, and that access expires on its own once the term ends. Set up academic role permissions once, and automated workflows take it from there, updating records as assignments shift, with no manual upkeep. Administrative staff always know who can access what, thanks to an immutable audit trail, and none of this requires custom sharing rules since it's built on Agentforce Education's standardized data model.
Course Versioning Keeps Student Records Accurate
Course versioning captures changes without rewriting a student's academic history or creating duplicate course records. When registrars rename a course, adjust credits, or update prerequisites, they create a new version, keeping a clear, traceable record of what changed and when. The version a student actually completed stays locked in across their progress and degree audits, even while multiple versions run simultaneously to serve different cohorts. Since every version still satisfies the same program requirement, program plans stay accurate no matter how much the underlying courses evolve.
Compliance & Regulatory Reporting
Automate Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) Regulatory Calculations
For UK reporting and intelligence, HESA regulatory values can now be derived straight from your Agentforce Education data in Data Cloud using Calculated Insights. That keeps operational data capture separate from regulatory logic, so calculations can evolve without ever touching the underlying schema. Each learner's HESA Student Identifier populates automatically the moment they enroll in a program, which means you're ready for HESA Data Futures submissions without manual mappings. The platform stays primed for whatever analytics and AI use cases come next.
Extend Institutional Data for MortarCAPS Reporting and Intelligence
A standardized data structure now supports regulatory compliance across Australia, Canada, and other regions. Turning on MortarCAPS Compliance and Configuration adds compliant fields and metadata directly to your existing Agentforce Education objects, aligning them with the MortarCAPS Higher Learning Data Standards. From there, you can validate submissions and run analytics without manual data mappings or standing up a separate external data warehouse.
Platform & Setup
Discover and Set Up Education Features in Salesforce Go
Salesforce Go now brings feature discovery and setup for Alumni and Advancement, Recruitment and Admissions, Student Financials, Delegated Access Management, Transfer Credit, and Petitions and Waivers into one single location. You can preview what each feature's setup involves, track your progress step by step, and pull up help articles right when you need extra guidance, all without jumping between different parts of the org.
